Matt Millstein Nashville Drummer
Matt Millstein Nashville Drummer -Matthew Millstein has been playing the drums since he was 8 years old. He picked up his first pair of sticks when he was 2 and learned diddles from his grandfather. His grandfather, Ben, used to sit in and play with legendary jazz singer, Nat King Cole.
At the age of 8, Matt began taking private lessons. He was active in his elementary school band and it was in 6th grade that he joined a school of music. It was at TreeHouse School of Music that Matt learned how to be a band member and lead rehearsals.
Along with drumming, Matt enjoys producing and mixing. When he was a Freshman in High School, Matt started a recording studio in his parent’s basement. He recorded DMV hip-hop artists, jazz musicians, singer-songwriters, rock bands and more.
Along with producing and playing live shows, Matt enjoys recording drum cover videos for YouTube. He has covered songs by Nirvana, A$AP Rocky, Foo Fighters and more.
When Matt was 8 years old, he started a non-profit organization, Cards of Joy. He and his friends created greeting cards and then sold them to raise money to help end child slavery in Haiti. Currently, he is working with an organization called Rhythm Changes. Rhythm Changes works on bringing music to kids in Haiti.
